2014.03.15 - SXSW2014 - Day 5 - Part 1 (Afternoon)
Steve Wynn & The Miracle 3 @ Lucy's Fried Chicken
The last day at SXSW 2014 was mainly about catching up with all friends both on and off stage, and Lucy's was perfect to just that. Plus, there are few bands better suited to wake you up than Steve Wynn & The Miracle 3, on this occasion Jason Victor, Linda Pitmon with Scott McCaughey on bass and Josh Kantor on keys.
Setlist: "There Will Come A Day", "Trial Separation Blues", "Good & Bad", "Death Valley Rain", "Coney Island Baby", "500 Girl Mornings", "Amphetamine"

The Minus 5 @ The Ginger Man
Over at the Ginger Man pub the Miracle 3 morphed into the Minus 5, with various guests (Steve Wynn, Josh Kantor, Jason Victor, Mike Mills) joining the band.

The Baseball Project @ The Ginger Man
Without much of a break instruments were swapped once again and The Baseball Project delivered a similar set as a few days earlier.
Setlist: "They Are The Oakland A's", "¡Hola America!", "Box Scores", "Monument Park", " The Day Dock Went Hunting Heads", " To The Veterans Committee", "Past Time"

Sarah Borges @ St. Vincent de Paul
"One of New England's finest new singer-songwriters, Sarah Borges mixes the swagger of Chrissie Hynde with the passion of Hank Williams for a sound that's truly unique." - Jim Caligiuri, Austin Chronicle
Further south along Congress Ave, I made a brief stop at St. Vincent de Paul to catch the tail end of Sarah Borges' set.
Bears And Bastards: Daren Hess, Jon Dee Graham, Walter Salas-Humara, James McMurty & Carey Bowman @ Continental Club Gallery
One of the highlights on the last day took place at the aptly titled Continental Club Gallery, where several artists got together to show their paintings and play some music. Daren Hess and
Jon Dee Graham kicked things off. Walter Salas-Humara along with Joe Reyes on guitar was next, with Andrew Duplantis taking over bass duties for the rest of the show. James McMurty played a few songs, followed by Carey Bouwman, before Daren Hess with son Collin on drums closed the night.
